How to connect Zapier
- 1
Connect the Leadstr Zapier app
Search 'Leadstr' in the Zapier app directory. Connect with your Leadstr API key (from settings → API).
- 2
Pick a trigger
Choose which Leadstr event starts your Zap — common starters are 'Lead Reached Hot' and 'Buying Signal Detected'.
- 3
Add the destination action
Pick the destination app (Notion, Airtable, Google Sheets, Trello, Asana, etc.) and map fields from the Leadstr trigger payload.
- 4
Test the Zap
Use Zapier's built-in test runner with a sample Leadstr event to confirm field mapping and downstream behavior.
- 5
Turn it on
Enable the Zap. Monitor the first few runs in Zapier's task history to confirm reliable execution.
What you can build
- Push qualified leads to Notion or Airtable as records
- Append every Hot lead to a Google Sheet for tracking
- Create Trello/Asana cards on lead handoff
- Send custom Slack messages on buying signals (alternative to native Slack)
- Trigger Twilio SMS on Hot lead detection
- Mirror lead events into a data warehouse via Zapier transfer
- Multi-step Zaps: Leadstr → enrichment tool → CRM → Slack
Zapier integration FAQ
Do I need a paid Zapier plan?
Free Zapier works for single-step Zaps. Multi-step Zaps and faster polling intervals require Starter or higher.
How fast does a Zap fire after a Leadstr event?
Webhook-based triggers fire within seconds. Polling-based triggers depend on your Zapier plan's interval (1–15 minutes).
Can I use Zapier instead of the native CRM integrations?
Technically yes, but native HubSpot/Salesforce/Pipedrive integrations are deeper — they handle bi-directional sync, custom objects, and bulk operations Zapier can't easily replicate. Use native for primary CRMs and Zapier for everything else.
Is there a developer API for things Zapier can't do?
Yes. The Leadstr REST API is available on Pro and Enterprise plans for fully custom integrations and high-volume use cases.
What about Make (formerly Integromat) and n8n?
Both work via the Leadstr API or webhooks. We have a public API spec and webhook documentation; community-built Make/n8n modules are common.
