How to connect Slack

    Install from the Leadstr settings page. The app requests permission to post messages and read replies in selected channels.

    Configure which channel receives Hot-lead notifications. Optionally separate channels by region, segment, or team.

    Connect Leadstr rep accounts to Slack user IDs so DMs and round-robin assignment work correctly.

Slack integration FAQ

Does Slack get the full conversation history?

The Slack message includes a summarized brief and a link to the full conversation in Leadstr. Full transcripts aren't pasted into Slack to keep notifications scannable.

How does round-robin work?

Configure a list of reps for each channel/segment. Leadstr DMs the next rep in rotation when a Hot lead arrives. Acknowledgment marks the lead claimed; no acknowledgment within the SLA re-routes to the next rep.

Can different segments go to different channels?

Yes. Route by lead source (form, ad, referral), industry, deal size, geography, or any custom field. Each rule maps to a specific channel.

Does Slack notification work without a CRM connected?

Yes. Slack works standalone — Leadstr posts the brief to your channel even if no CRM is connected. Most teams use Slack for real-time alerts and the CRM for historical record.

Can I customize the notification format?

Yes. The brief template is configurable — choose which fields appear, the order, and the action buttons. Per-segment templates supported.
