Leadstr + Gmail / Google Workspace

Email is still the most-used channel for B2B inbound qualification, and deliverability matters. Leadstr's Gmail and Google Workspace integration sends qualification and nurture emails from your own domain using OAuth — no SMTP relay, no shared IP pools, no separate domain authentication. Your existing reputation is your reputation.

How to connect Gmail / Google Workspace

  1. 1

    Connect Google Workspace via OAuth

From Leadstr settings, click 'Connect Google'. Authenticate with the Workspace account that should send qualification emails. We request Gmail send/read scopes.

  2. 2

Verify domain authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC)

Confirm your domain has SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records set correctly. Leadstr surfaces issues during connection — most teams already have these in place from Workspace setup.

  3. 3

    Choose your sending address

Pick the From address (sarah@yourcompany.com, sales@, hello@). Aliases are supported. Leadstr never sends from a leadstr.com address unless you explicitly choose to.

  4. 4

    Set up inbound routing

Configure which inbound emails route into Leadstr's qualification flow. Most teams forward sales@, demo@, or hello@ aliases. Individual rep inboxes stay separate.

  5. 5

    Test deliverability

Send a test qualification email to a Gmail address and a non-Gmail address. Verify the email arrives in the inbox (not Promotions or Spam) and that reply tracking works.

What you can build

  • Send from your verified Workspace domain — no third-party SMTP relay
  • Full thread tracking: opens, clicks, replies, bounces
  • Inbound reply routing into qualification or nurture flows
  • Out-of-office detection auto-pauses sequences
  • Per-rep send-on-behalf for warm handoffs
  • Calendar integration for meeting booking inline in emails

Gmail / Google Workspace integration FAQ

Does Leadstr need access to my entire inbox?

No. Leadstr requests scoped Gmail permissions — send, read messages matching specific labels or threads, and detect replies on Leadstr-initiated conversations. It does not read your full inbox history.

Will Leadstr emails hurt my deliverability?

Not when set up correctly. Sending from your verified Workspace domain with proper SPF/DKIM/DMARC means Leadstr emails share your existing reputation. Volume is paced and warm-up periods are respected for new sending addresses.

Can I send from multiple addresses?

Yes. Connect multiple Workspace users or use Workspace aliases. Most teams use a generic alias (hello@, sales@) for first-touch qualification and switch to a rep's personal address after handoff.

Does this work with Microsoft 365 / Outlook?

Microsoft 365 / Outlook is supported via a separate integration with the same OAuth pattern. Same scopes, same deliverability approach.

What about Gmail's promotions tab?

Leadstr's qualification emails are designed to land in the primary inbox: conversational tone, no marketing template artifacts, low image weight, no tracking pixels by default. We optimize template structure to avoid Promotions classification.
